My name is Cari Pier. I am a recent transplant to the southwest
from Virginia. Living in the west had been a dream of mine
since...well...since forever. Now I live and create art
at my studio in beautiful Tijeras, NM. I work primarily
in acrylics and mixed~media. I am most often inspired creatively
by the spirituality of different cultures, by poets, musicians
and other artists and dreamers. My work has been shown and
collected in the US, Canada, Australia and Europe. I have
been commissioned to design company logos, cd cover art,
murals, furniture pieces and artwork for individuals, studios
and galleries. I have donated art to numerous organizations
including humane societies, hospitals and schools. Ten percent
of my proceeds are always donated to American Forests. Da
Vinci once said, "Where the spirit does not work with the
hand, there is no art." This quote is a constant reminder
to me that art is a collaboration between the artist and
the source of all divine inspiration. My hope is to use
the time I have been given to dream, believe and create.
